I’m thrilled to share that I recently joined Pietro Deserti and Samuel DeKorte on the World War II Daily podcast to discuss one of the most compelling stories of World War II: the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.

This podcast episode provided a platform to explore the inspiring history of the 6888th, the only all-Black Women’s Army Corps unit to serve overseas during WWII. We dove into their critical mission of clearing the massive backlog of mail for U.S. troops, a vital effort that kept morale high on the front lines.

The conversation also tied into my role as a historical consultant for Tyler Perry’s Netflix film, The Six Triple Eight. During the discussion, I shared insights into how the film connects to the historical realities of the Battalion’s service and the impact of their legacy today.

If you’re passionate about learning the untold stories of World War II, this episode is for you! Discover the challenges, triumphs, and historical significance of the 6888th
